Shaare Zedek Vapotherm Campaign

Children come to the hospital gasping for air. These children struggle to take a single breath and they can't take breathing for granted. Every breath is a fight for survival.

There is medical equipment that helps children breathe easier. Shaare Zedek's Kuppermann Pediatric Intensive Care Unit wants to purchase a Vapotherm machine that helps children in respiratory distress.

Your generous donation today will give children the breath of life. Please give today.

A Parent's Perspective

"From the moment my daughter Sharon was born, every breath was labored, every move challenged…she needed a lot of help. The Vapotherm machine helped her breathe. She was calmer and that she was able to breath repetitively. She is now eight months old."

US: Donations to Shaare Zedek Medical Center are officially recognized by the IRS for tax exemptions under section 501(c)(3). Shaare Zedek Medical Center Jerusalem / המרכז הרפואי שערי צדק

Founded in 1902, Shaare Zedek has been known as the Hospital with a Heart for more than a century. Patients come to Shaare Zedek, seeking top level treatment in a compassionate, supportive and nurturing environment.

Shaare Zedek opened as a 20-bed facility on Jaffa Road in 1902. Today, the hospital is situated on a 14-acre site opposite Mt. Herzl and continues to renovate and expand.

To ensure critical operational abilities even during emergency situations, the first three stories of the ten-floor complex, which include the operating theaters, emergency room, pharmacy and medical supplies, were built underground.

Shaare Zedek is a public non-profit hospital with 76,000 admissions, 632,000 outpatient visits and 129,000 emergency visits annually. In 2014 there were over 22,000 births at Shaare Zedek’s, the most of any hospital in the world.
